Bespoke Basins

Jenny Hopps is a ceramicist working from her studio in Berkshire, UK. Jenny creates a range of unique bathroom basins from stoneware clay, offering a range of sizes and finishes. Each basin is crafted as a one off sculptural form, so that each customer truly receives a unique statement piece for their home.

Jenny also create a range of contemporary ceramic homeware, tableware & gifts from her studio in West Berkshire, where she lives with her husband and three children.

Jenny says “I love working with clay, and I create pieces both on the pottery wheel and by hand using slab rolling and handcrafting techniques. I work with stoneware clay and everything is fired in my two kilns. Each piece is unique and has its own sculptural character. I am inspired by the nature around me and enjoy watching the seasons change outside my studio door here in beautiful Berkshire.

I started making basins after we undertook a large renovation project on our 1850’s cottage. We modernised the interior whilst restoring the old cottage exterior. I was looking for a unique sculptural basin, and I couldn’t find the right design. So I undertook the challenge of researching and prototyping basins that both looked beautiful, but were also technically functional. Fast forward 5 years and I now have a basin collection in a wide range of sizes and finishes.
